My name is Eve Dembowski. I am an American born Astrologer now living in Melbourne, Australia. I trained as a musician and flower essence therapist, but my passion is astrology, especially horary and its philosophical roots. Having started my astrological journey like so many of my contemporaries, with modern psychological astrology, steeped in the work of Jung and company, I have since moved towards the richer, more archaic and satisfying world of traditional astrology.
Astrology is rich in history, science, philosophy, and theology. Simply speaking, astrology is the study of the movement of the cosmos, of time and life itself. It is far more than the sum of its parts: zodiac signs, house, planets, and aspects. When faced with the vastness of the subject, the importance of the personal recedes. Ultimately, the mystery, magic, and paradox of existence, as seen through the astrological lens, provides answers which leads to more questions. Astrology illuminates more paths than we have years to explore… and yet, we persist, for astrology feeds the soul.
While I do hold several diplomas and certificates from various schools (Astro-synthesis, Robert Zoller and STA to name a few), and I continue with my own study and research; it has become clear to me, that it is through the practice and teaching of astrology, that I have learn the most.
In 2012 I become a tutor for the STA (School of Traditional Astrology), and started teaching the STA certificate course in horary, written by Deborah Houlding. The course has since been reworked and is now offered as a 20 week online course. Starting in 2025 I am once again presenting the course as an in person, 5-day intensive course.
I also teach a course I developed: the “Foundation of Astrology: Introduction to Classical Natal Astrology.” (But more on that later)
